This is a drone flyover of Blood Mountain in Blairsville Georgia. Blood Mountain is the 4th highest mountain in Georgia at 4459 feet and a scenic portion of the Appalachian Trail runs across it. It’s incredibly close to Vogel State Park and makes for a wonderful family and dog-friendly hike. When in north Georgia, don’t miss this moderate hike.
There are numerous lodging options in close proximity to Blood Mountain and Vogel State Park, including the wonderful BearItAll cabin (http://www.BearItAll.net). This beautiful cabin can be rented for as little as $125 per night. Camping opportunities on the top of the mountain exist, as well.
